Subscription Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Solvd! By subscribing to our water solutions services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Definitions
"Company" refers to Solvd, the provider of water filtration and back up subscription services.
"Customer" refers to any individual or entity subscribing to Solvd’s services.
"Services" means the installation, maintenance, and use of water filtration and backup systems provided by Solvd.
"Equipment" refers to the water filtration units, tanks, pumps and other components supplied by Solvd.
Subscription Services
Solvd offers subscription-based water solutions, including equipment installation, maintenance, and support.
Customers may choose from various packages: Pure Solv, Secure Solv, and All Solv.
Subscription fees are charged on a recurring monthly basis, with a fixed 5% escalation applied on the anniversary of the subscription.
Payment is accepted via credit card only.
VAT is included in all listed prices.
Payment Terms
Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Payment must be made using a valid credit or debit card. By providing payment information, the Customer authorises Solvd to charge the subscription fee on a recurring basis.
Late payments may incur penalties or result in service suspension.
Cancellation and Termination
Customers may cancel their subscription at any time by providing 30 days written notice to Solvd.
Cancellation Fee:
There is a cancellation fee of R3 000 regardless of when the contract is cancelled.
Upon cancellation, the Customer is responsible for any outstanding fees.
Solvd reserves the right to terminate services in the event of non-payment or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Installation and Maintenance
Solvd will install the equipment at the Customer's premises at a mutually agreed time.
If the placement of the tank(s) is further than 5m from where the connection to the main inlet is there will be a charge for extra pipework (contact the sales agent for more information)
The Customer agrees to provide access to the premises for installation, maintenance, and repair services.
Maintenance Services
Maintenance includes replacing the filters annually and performing an annual check on the equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
If the equipment fails or is found to be faulty due to no fault of the Customer, Solvd will repair or replace the equipment at no additional charge. This includes any call-out fees or costs associated with restoring the equipment to working order and ensuring it performs according to specifications.
Additional charges may apply for non-standard service requests or damage caused by misuse or negligence by the Customer.
Ownership and Use of Equipment
The equipment provided by Solvd remains the property of the Company during the subscription period.
Customers are responsible for the care and safe use of the equipment and must not tamper with or alter it in any way.
Additional Equipment:
Customers may add to their existing package at any time; however, all additional equipment must be procured from and installed by Solvd.
The subscription fee will be adjusted accordingly, and any new equipment will be subject to the same maintenance terms as the original package.
Purchase Option:
After the 3-year subscription period, the Customer may purchase the equipment at a discounted amount from original value. (Please consult a sales representative for an indicative price).
After a 5-year subscription period, the Customer may purchase the equipment at a discounted amount from original value. (Please consult a sales representative for an indicative price).
If the Customer chooses to purchase the equipment, they have the option to enrol in a service and maintenance plan at R199 per month for 2 years.
The service and maintenance fee is subject to a 5% annual escalation, starting from the time the plan is taken out.
VAT is included in the service fee.
Service and Warranty Management:
During the 2-year service and maintenance plan, Solvd will maintain and service the equipment and manage any associated warranties.
After the 2-year period, any remaining warranties and the management of the equipment will be ceded to the Customer, who will then be responsible for them.
Alternatively, the Customer may choose to continue with Solvd's maintenance and service package.
Upon termination of the subscription without purchasing the equipment, Solvd reserves the right to retrieve the equipment from the Customer's premises.
Limitation of Liability
Solvd is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the equipment, except where negligence on the part of the Company is proven.
While the Company cannot guarantee the quality of the water supplied by the utility provider, Solvd is committed to delivering water quality that exceeds the standard offerings. Our filtration systems ensure that you receive water that is cleaner, safer, and healthier for you and your family.
If the Customer wishes to dispute the quality of the water, all costs associated with testing the water will be the responsibility of the Customer.
The Company does not guarantee uninterrupted service and will not be liable for any losses resulting from service disruptions due to factors beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, power outages).
Warranty and Disclaimer
The equipment and services are provided "as is," with a limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for the duration of the subscription.
Solvd disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Privacy Policy
Solvd respects the privacy of its Customers and will only collect and use personal information in accordance with the POPI act.
Amendments
Solvd reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration, where applicable.
